32.5 hrs per week, term time only + 5 PL days
Grade I (19-22) actual salary £22,597 - £23,802 (pay award pending)

Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of seven academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley and North Yorkshire area serving a population in excess of 800 students with a broad range of learning difficulties.
Abbey Hill Academy is “where amazing children do amazing things!” We specialise in meeting the needs of students who have a full range of learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as other special needs including physical needs or autism.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, outstanding, creative and enthusiastic Level 4 teaching assistant who has the flexibility to work with young people who have a variety of special educational needs. This role involves supporting students in the classroom, in small groups and on a 1-1 basis, giving attention to their physical as well as educational requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with students to support and improve literacy skills by ensuring interventions are targeted, effective and in line with SaLT recommendations and the whole school phonics scheme.
