The Meadows Academy has recently joined Horizons Specialist Academy Trust. The Trust comprises of eight Academies across Tees Valley, North Yorkshire and County Durham and together we support in excess of 850 children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
The Meadows Academy caters for pupils with Social. Emotional and Mental Health issues. Many of our young people live across County Durham and in some cases further afield from Darlington Middlesbrough, Cumbria and Northumberland.
We strive to create a sense of belonging where our pupils feel they are valued and respected, and an atmosphere where all can make progress and succeed.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated SEN Administration Assistant to join our office team. The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and possess excellent communication and keyboard/IT skills as well as the ability to show initiative in dealing with enquiries and providing support within the team.
Main duties include arranging and supporting Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) meetings, greeting visitors, dealing with telephone enquiries and other general administrative tasks.
Applicants will have a minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent qualifications (including Maths and English) or appropriate experience. Experience of working in an educational setting and knowledge of working with SIMS would be an advantage
