Horizons Specialist Academy Trust (HSAT) consists of five academies and one sixth form across Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland serving a population of approximately 600 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.
HSAT is a major provider of school education and related services to pupils and students with special educational needs in the North East of England. As such, we intend to develop innovative resources and practices in keeping with our aim of being recognized as a Leading Edge provider in the area of special educational needs.
We wish to appoint a well-qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join our busy and dynamic Trust Finance Team. Applicants will be experienced financial administrators who will assist the Trust's Head of Finance & Finance Manager in the design, management and coordination of the financial systems across the Trust providing an efficient financial service. In addition to ensuring that all financial records are maintained in line with financial regulations and audit requirements the post holder will be expected to assist budget holders to manage, monitor and plan expenditure from agreed budgets.
Applicants will have a relevant qualification eg. AAT and ideally a minimum of three years' experience in a school or educational finance environment.
Although the role involves working across the Trust the post will primarily be based within the Finance Department at the Abbey Hill Academy site.
