Horizons Specialist Academy Trust consists of six academies and one sixth form across the Tees Valley area serving a population of approximately 650 students aged 5 to 19 with a broad range of learning difficulties.
The Trust wishes to appoint an experienced Admin Assistant to join our dynamic administration team. The post will be based at Abbey Hill Academy working across the 3 receptions on site. The main duties include greeting visitors, answering the telephone and other general administrative tasks including supporting the paperwork around Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) meetings.
The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and possess excellent communication and keyboard/IT skills as well as the ability to show initiative in dealing with enquiries and providing support within the administration team. Applicants will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline or appropriate experience. Experience of working in a school setting and knowledge of working with SIMS would be an advantage.
There is an expectation that all our staff will work across the Trust as necessary and the post holder may be asked to work at any of the offices across the six academies.
